Week at Grandma and Grandpa's

While at Grandma and Grandpa's we stayed super busy. On Wednesday we went to Price to visit Garth and Tori. Garth, Grandpa, and Uncle Ryan took Brandyn to see some big tractors. I am still waiting for Grandma to email the pictures of it to me. While the boys were playing with the tractors Cadence, Kasey, Grandma and I stayed at Garth and Tori's house to play with Tori and the girls. Cadence had so much fun playing with the girls that she didnt want to leave. The drive back from Price took forever due to the weather. The canyon was a complete mess and at one part we couldn't even see because of the blowing snow. Its times like that, that make it so I dont miss Utah as much lol. Once we were out of the canyon we found out that they had closed it due to weather. On Thursday we surprised Aunt Becky and Aunt Teresa by showing up at their house for dinner. They were just expecting my parents, Ryan, Dallas and Kayla to be there. So we put Brandyn on Becky's porch, knocked on the door and hid. I think for a second they were confused but so excited once they realized we were really there lol. Friday my mom and I took Cadence to get her hair cut for the first time. She has always freaked out when I have tried to take her but because Grandma took her it was ok lol. After we got our hair cut we went to Uncle Sean's for dinner. Surprisingly the kids really warmed up to him. He even got a hug from Cadence. She was so excited to show him how to play her new video game. We stayed there till a little after 10 and went home due to Kasey being grumpy. On Saturday we went out to lunch with Aunt Teresa and then Ryan and I took Cadence and Brandyn to see Tangled. On Sunday we just stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house and played. On Monday Uncle Ryan had to go back to school and Grandma had to go back to work. So the kids grandpa and I went out side and played in the snow. After we were done playing in the snow we went to Incredible Pizza. Dallas and Kayla even came! I think the kids favorite part was the mini bowling, and by the time it was time to go they had gotten really good. Then on Tuesday it was time to meet Eric in Mesquite so we could come home. The whole time the kids kept saying how they didnt want to go home but holy cow were they excited to see Eric. I dont think that Cadence left his side until he had to go back to work on Thursday lol. We had a great week visiting Grandma and Grandpa and hopefully they did too! Super Surprise!

So the Tuesday after Christmas we got up at 6 in the morning and told the kids we were going to go to this really cool new fish store that was really far away. In fact it was 5 hours away. We ended up at the bass pro shop in Vegas! But thats not the best part. While we were walking around there was this really weird older couple that were walking around by us, and the kids were oblivious. Once Brandyn saw them and kept looking at them like stranger danger haha. Then they said his name and it took a second but the kids realized who they were. They were Grandma and Grandpa Phil lol, and the kids were so excited! We had lunch with them and then it was time to go. On the way out to the car Grandma and Grandpa had an idea how about instead of going back home with dad we go home with them. The kids were so excited. Eric and I must have been psychic or something because we had a bag packed with some of mine and the kids clothes and everything that we would need to be gone for a week in the trunk of the car lol. So we loaded all of our stuff up in grandma's truck and said good bye to Eric and headed to Utah!

Christmas 2010

So our desk top hasnt been working so great and that's where we put all our pictures and videos soooooo instead of waiting any longer i figured i would just update this and just add pics later.
This was our first Christmas away from everyone so it was kind of wierd. On Christmas eve we all got to open up our new Christmas pjs. The kids got matching penguin footie jammies, I got tweety tweet bird (Cadence's words lol) jammies, and Eric got Oscar the grouch jammies. After opening our jammies and setting out Santa's cookies and milk we went to bed so Santa could come. The kids must have been very good cause Santa spoiled them. Cadence got a pink hippo tent filled with balls and inside the tent was a pink Leapster 2 and a Tangled game to go with it. Brandyn got a green dinosaur tent filled with balls and inside it was a train set. Kasey got a dog tent filled with balls and inside it was a laugh and learn kitchen. They also all got a Christmas stuffed animal and stockings overflowing with goodies. They were so excited to play with the cool stuff that Santa brought that they didn't even want to open the rest of their presents. After we convinced them that some of the other presents that they had to open had toys in them the decided they wanted to open them. Cadence got 3 more games for her Leapster, 2 lalaloopsy dolls, a scooter, a princess fishing pole, playdough, a few outfits and a ton more. Brandyn got a Diego train set, a tonka truck, a toy story fishing pole, a scooter, a few outfits and a ton more. Kasey got dolls of her very own, outfits, a giraffe with balls, a jungle thing with balls, a shape sorter and a ton more. For the next 3 days our house looked like a tornado had touched down lol. We had a great Christmas and I hope that everyone else did too!

Happy Birthday Baby Kasey!

On December 13th Kasey had her first Birthday. I am amazed at how much she has changed over the year. She went from being a tiny little thing that just laid there to almost walking and having a huge attitude. If you haven't been able to tell by pictures she is a pretty happy baby unless she doesn't get her way then everyone better watch out (hopefully she grows out of that lol) She had so much fun opening her present from grandma Sherry, grandpa Phil and uncle Ryan. ( I shouldn't have been such a slacker and wrapped the rest of her presents instead of just giving them to her lol) She also loved her cupcakes. She has a huge sweet tooth lol. She enjoyed them so much that she was pissed that they were all gone. Hopefully she had a great first birthday!

Happy Anniversary

So I haven't updated this in over a month but December seemed like it was a super busy month for us so I'm sorry if you have been coming to our blog to see whats going on in our lives lol.

On December 3rd Eric and I had our 6th anniversary! That morning the kids and I went to a parade and carnival for the city of Surprise because it turned 50. The kids had never really been to a parade before I was a little worried to take them to the parade and carnival by myself but they did awesome! They loved seeing all the cars trucks and all the people. Cadence's favorite part was all the cheerleaders. There was even a group of grandmas that were cheerleaders so Cadence said that her grandma Sherry should do that lol. Brandyn's favorite part were all of the cars and trucks. After the parade there was a carnival. There was all kids of things for the kids to do. They made ice cream cone Christmas trees, rode a little train,
went to a petting zoo, and rode ponies. There was even an elephant that the could have rode but they didn't want to but they enjoyed looking at it.
Eric got off work early to spend some extra time with me. Usually for our anniversary my parents watch the kids so we can have a date but due to us living a state away we went on a date with the kids lol. We went to Olive Garden and the kids loved it. Then we went to go see a movie but decided to go home and do a movie night at home. We all had a great day!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we just stayed home and Mark came to visit us. My poor mom...I think I called her about a dozen times asking questions about cooking lol. I have decided that after having to cook a Thanksgiving dinner I do not like Thanksgiving! It is so much easier just to go to my moms and help here and there but not have to do the whole thing. The kids did make a banana pudding pie. They even cut up the bananas for it.

While I cooked the rest of the food Eric made the cookie turkeys that grandma sent all the stuff for. They turned out pretty cute.
Yes I know my husband is a huge dork lol. This was also Kasey's first Thanksgiving. I think she enjoyed it....

I think the other kids enjoyed it too. After eating dinner Cadence and Brandyn decided that it was time for a nap.
After her nap Cadence browsed the black Friday ads to see where she was headed to shop But she decided she would be smart and send dad and grandpa out so she could actually sleep lol. So although I had to cook Thanksgiving by myself and stressed out about it the whole time I think it turned out pretty well and hopefully everyone else enjoyed it too!

Football

Eric managed to get 2 tickets to the Cardinals vs Seahawks game from his work and took Brandyn. As soon as Brandyn found out he got to go he was so excited. Even though the game didn't start till 2 the tailgating began at 11. Brandyn had so much fun at the tailgate party that when it was time to go inside for the game he was mad and didn't want to leave. After the game started Brandyn found his 2 favorite parts of a football game......Food and Cheerleaders lol. He is a typical guy. By the end of the game he was one tired little guy, but he had a great boys day with dad!
