Look at her new trick!

Kasey is now starting to pull herself up to stand while holding on to things. But once she is standing she is afraid to sit back down so she freaks out like she is hurt lol. She has also gotten so great at crawling that if something is in her way she just crawls right over it. Here she is crawling over Jade...... And she didn't even hit her head on the ground lol.

So next Saturday Cadence will be 4 holy cow she is getting so big! We are going up to Utah for her birthday and she is so excited! Then once we get back she is going to start going to preschool for a few hours every morning. She is so excited! Because she is so excited we have to drive by her new school at least once a week. She is such a nut!

Kaseys new favorite thing.....

So now that Kasey can crawl she has a new favorite thing to play with.....


the dogs water. And no matter where I try and hide it she some how finds it and loves to play in it. And the worst part is I am pretty sure she knows that she is not supposed to but who could get mad at that sweet face lol

Frog Hunting!

One night after we put the kids to bed Eric and I decided to go for a walk and check the mail. While we were out we found a frog in our front yard and a huge toad in the park next to our house. So because we knew the kids would think it was so cool we got them up to look go look for frogs. We probably look really dumb to the neighbors getting so excited about finding frogs because down here they are all over after it rains. If you go look in the ponds that form in the parks when it rains you can actually catch tadpoles too. I think that this has become one of the kids favorite things to do outside
but unfortunately they are only out after it rains so it doesn't happen very often. So every time it rains we go out and look for frogs. At first the kids were scared touch them but they have gotten braver. We also caught some tadpoles and they have turned into frogs.
Cadence is actually quite attached to the tadpoles and baby frogs. She has to come down every morning and after her nap and check on them. She has named the 2 that have turned into frogs Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.

Kasey can crawl!!

So as I have already said I am super behind on my blogging. But since August 4th Kasey has been crawling. At first she would move her arms and then drag her legs while up on her hands and knees (she kind of looked like a wounded animal lol) but now she has gotten it down. Now that she can get around she is always trying to play with Cadence and Brandyn and their toys especially Brandyn's cars. For the most part he is pretty good at sharing but sometimes he would prefer to play by himself. Along with crawling she has also tried to pull her self up a few times but I think it will be a while before she actually figures out how to do that.

Mowing the dirt

So if you haven't been able to tell by the pictures we do not have grass in our yard. In the front we have rocks and a few trees and in the back we have dirt and weeds. And some days it is just to hot down here to wear clothes so this is how Brandyn decided to take care of our yard......

and I also have to add this picture of Moose trying to hide behind a weed.... hmmm bet you cant find him lol.

Monsoon Season

So down here in Arizona from the middle of June to the end of September it is considered monsoon season. And starting in the middle of June every week the weather people say that at least one day with in the next 10 days will rain and most of the time they are wrong. There may be a few clouds in the sky but it never actually rains. So far since the middle of June there has only been one day where it poured. So on that one day Brandyn and I (Cadence was scared of the thunder so she wouldn't come outside with us)took advantage of the warm weather and the rain and went outside to play. we got so much rain that it looked like we had a pond in our back yard
and the street in front of our house looked like it had a stream running on it the parks by our house were turned in to pools also.
When this happens the neighborhood kids come out with buckets and catch frogs that come out with the rain. We haven't had rain for a little while but we found this frog in our front yard
Brandyn thought that it was cool and Cadence wouldn't even come look at it because she was scared. Both Cadence and Brandyn are looking forward to the next rain storm so they can go play in it again!

Moose Bear and Einstein

So we have acquired a new dog named Moose. We were watching him for a friend while they went to Mexico and they have yet to come back. (we think they were illegal and couldn't come back across the boarder). He is just a puppy but he is huge and will be a huge dog. He is 3/4 great dane and 1/4 German shepherd. When my parents came to visit they brought their dog Bear with them. The whole time they were down here Moose and Bear were always together it was kind of cute.
In these pictures Bear is twice as old as Moose so it kind of gives you an idea of just how big Moose is going to be.
***We recently had to find Einstein a new home. Him and Brandyn were not getting along. For some reason Einstein loved everyone but Brandyn. He ended up trying to go after Brandyn so it was either him or Brandyn. So after trying to find Brandyn a new home (lol just teasin) we ended up finding Einstein a new loving home with a single guy that actually works at a local no kill shelter. He will be very missed but we know that he will be happy in his new home.
