A visit from grandma grandpa and uncle Ryan

So from July 22nd to the 25th my parents and brother came to visit us from Utah. The kids were so excited. Every day for 2 weeks before they came they would wake up and ask if today was the day grandma and grandpa were coming. So on the day that they came we decided to go to the park before they arrived. Guess who was there!?! Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Ryan! The kids were so surprised and so excited to see them. The first day they were here we took them to the kids favorite place for lunch Peter Piper Pizza (its like Chuck E Cheese but has better food and is way cleaner). Everyone had lots of fun playing the games and helping the kids win lots of tickets.
After lunch we decided to go to Cabelas. The kids always love going there to see all the animals and stuff. Brandyn played a video game with uncle Ryan, Cadence and grandma looked at the big turkey Cadence and Brandyn tested out a tent Brandyn found himself a new bed and Ryan had to test out the bathroom The kids also found those super annoying pop guns and had to carry them around and shoot all of the animals

and thanks to Grandma and Grandpa they got to bring them home. Once we got home Grandma Grandpa and Uncle Ryan decided to take all 3 kiddos for a sleep over night at their hotel room and gave Eric and I a much needed break lol. While they were having a sleep over the kids got to go swimming at the hotel pool.

The next day due to it being so hot and "the white people melting" lol we went to the mall to let the kids play The next day we went back to the mall and grandma and grandpa let each of the kids make a build a bear. They had a blast making them. Cadence made a Hello Kitty, Brandyn made a monkey dressed like woody and Ryan made Kasey a wolf dressed like a nurse. That night everyone said there goodbyes because grandma grandpa and uncle Ryan were leaving very early the next day. The kids had a blast having visitors and keep asking if grandma and grandpa can come back. And uncle Ryan too!

Twinkies

So I know I am way behind on my blogging so I am sorry to everyone that actually reads this! I am going to try and catch up while the kiddos are napping so hopefully it will only take a few days!
One day on his way home from work Eric stopped at the store and got the kids a box of twinkies. The kids were a little unsure of them because they had never had them before. After taking one bite they both loved them (imagine that Brandyn loves something he can eat lol). We didnt get any pictures of Cadence enjoying hers but here are a few of Brandyn enjoying his.......

Brandyn and Ken

So Eric came home from work on Friday with Cadence and Brandyn new toys. Cadence got a fairy Barbie with pink hair and Brandyn got a Ken. I think that its good for boys to be able to play with and have their own dolls but I honestly never thought that Eric would be the one to buy him a Ken doll lol. But Brandyn loves him. Since he got Ken he has had to make sure that Ken is always somewhere near by and that no one it touching him lol.

Colorful Breakfast!

So on at least one of Eric's days off a week we have been trying to make sure we cook breakfast as a family. When cooking these breakfasts we have been coloring the food too. This week we had purple pancakes and pink eggs. The kids seem to eat a whole lot better when we color the food. Brandyn even ate more than Eric. Which in my opinion is a ton for a 2 year old.

Kasey Lynn!!

Kasey is getting so big so fast. She is a little over 7 months now and doing all kinds of fun things! She has 2 bottom teeth. You have to look really closely to see them. She is doing really good when it comes to eating baby food and Eric loves to feed her! Holy cow what a mess lol. She is also getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth. So it shouldn't be to much longer before she is crawling all over. She has also started babbling a ton. Eric is super excited about this because she yells "Da Da" all the time now.

4th of July

So here in Arizona they passed a law allowing fireworks similar to the ones allowed in Utah. However the law does not take affect till December so we were unable to do fireworks at our house, but the cities are allowed to do their own firework shows. So we headed to the park to watch them. Well because the individuals are not allowed to do fireworks the park was packed. I don't think I have ever seen so many people at one park before. Once we found a place to park we bought ice cream from the ice cream man. We sat on the grass to eat it and then decided to walk around until it was time to watch the fireworks. Well there were people selling light up swords and the kids thought they were sooooooo cool so we bought Cadence and Brandyn each one. Then we decided to go find a spot in the grass to sit so the kids could play with their swords before the fireworks. Watching them have a sword fight was hilarious. And many of the people that were sitting near us thought so too.

Once it was time for the fireworks to start Cadence sat with Eric and Brandyn and Kasey sat with me. At first Brandyn was scared he even tried to hide from the fireworks by covering his eyes (he thinks if he cant see you then you cant see him.) But after a few went off he thought they were pretty cool.


Once the fireworks were over we got in the car to head home. We live about 5 minutes away from the park we were at but because there were so many people there it took us almost an hour to get home.


Hopefully everyone had a great 4th cause I know we did!

Sick Day!

So on June 21 (yes I know I am super behind) we decided to try eating at Long John Silvers for dinner. BIG mistake! At about 10 Eric and I decided to go to bed and he stood up and got sick. Well neither the kids nor I had been feeling sick so we just thought maybe it was what he had for lunch. Well at about 12:30 Cadence starts freaking out. I went in her room and she had throw up everywhere. She was bawling and kept saying "sorry mom I didn't mean to." Once I got her calmed down and cleaned up I put her in our bed while I went to clean up her room. Well I hadn't even made it to her room when Eric started yelling for me because Cadence was sick again. So I moved them both to the couch downstairs and cleaned both hers and my rooms. Once they were all clean I sent Eric back upstairs so he could sleep because he had work in the morning. Then I got sick. At about 2 Brandyn woke up sick as well. Finally at 4:30 I got cadence and Brandyn to sleep on the couch so I tried to sleep a little before Kasey woke up. Eric got up for work and that woke Brandyn up. And some how he had only slept for about an hour and he was up running around like nothing had even happened. Eric ended up coming home once he got someone to cover him and we just laid on the couch for pretty much the whole day and the next. But we did learn a very good lesson: don't eat at Long John Silvers.
